pal software package provides command-line calendar program that can keep track of events, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pal
pal is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pal package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pal *
You will get with pal package name, version, architecture and description in a table
